PAALAM: A Requiem Tribute to the Master Rapper Francis D. Magalona
    Rhtym: POP FUSION
    Tempo: 087
    Composer: MARK D. CLOMA
Style: STEADY LANG NA MAY KONTING EMPHASIS

    Intro:
*Departure of a vessel inspired Kaleidoscope World’s chorus instrumental with a sound effect of the seashore.
    *normal riff.

    1st stanza:
This is my requiem for the master rapper Francis M.
A song dedicated to an iconic name.
Reminiscin’ I was 10 and was so thin.
When I first bought an album way back then.
    Still, amazed at that time-
    The lyrical rhyme
Blastin’ and grindin’ and was hard to mime.

    Effects:
    *variation riff+megaphone
Mga praning, mga praning, mga praning ning..
Tropang gising, tropang gising, tropang gising sing..
Laging gising, lagging gising, laging gising sing..
Mga praning, mga praning, mga praning ning.

    2nd stanza
    Ring__ring on my bell.
I think that was the start of my story to tell.
    An old school artist minimalist.
Lacoste, adidas at the top of the list.

    With chords
    3rd stanza
    Magalona, then doing asozena.
At ako’y nilamon ng kanyang sistema.
    Kaliwa’t kanan ang rakrakan.
    Di maiwasan na mapag-usapan.
That Francis M- the best there is,
    The best there was, and
The best there ever will be.

    1st chorus:
Paalam magalona, ikaw ay lalayo na.
    Hindi na makikita, pambihirang makata.

    4th stanza
Happy battle- I was in manila.
I felt having a tingga sa wankata.
    Ako’y ubos biyaya, bukas nakatunganga.
I ended up back at home at naging kawawa.

    5th stanza
Friends, are meant to be trash.
So be wiser, for you not to get flush.
    But still remember,
    Please continue glidin’.
    For there’s still hope..
    A whole lotta lovin’
    Goin on.

    Interlude:

    Solo:
    *voice
    Rainy days are here again.
It’s the time of year my friend.
And I pray, it ever ends..
For you, for me, for them.

And I pray it ever ends ..

    Repeat: 1st chorus

    2nd chorus:
    Kahit ika’y naglaho,
    Mananatili ka sa puso.
    Ito’y aking pangako,
    Hindi ‘to magbabago.

    Coda:
*toasting mga kababayan’s “dapat magsumikap xxx” + tayo’y mga pinoy’s chorus instrumental.

i was in grade school when i first saw/heard Kiko doing his thing. he was rappin with Micheal V then and I said to my self, ok so he can rap, he can sing, he can even dance (Kiko did a lot of dancing before. :P ). cable TV was new and not many people had it in our town back then (i grew up in a pretty remote city in mindanao). when i turned 13, i started collecting cassette tapes and i only play those like once then stack them in a box. but i always had these like 10 to 15 cassette tapes that i frequently play(silverchair, metallica, live, greenday, nirvana, etc…and guess what FRANCIS M). not realizing i dont end my day without playing francis m songs. i then found out i did grew up listening to Francis’ music. not the type of fan that can word all his lyrics, knew all his songs.i simply like listening to his music, the arrangement is genius (far from most bands today - no offense), quality of music is awesome. and i always look into bands that usually hooks up with the MASTER RAPPER, bands like E’heads, Gloc 9, Parokya ni Edgar, etc. Its just sad that he is gone, a great loss to the music influence of Pinoys. I am a father of two and i would definitely have them listen the brilliant music of Francis M. Kiko should have a chapter in Philippine history books. yES HE IS GONE but HE WILL DEFINITELY STAY IN OUR HEARTS, HIS MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE.
